Sweet Little Tylee Jane

We've been loving this little girl!! She's such a sweetheart and the kids just adore her. The newest thing is they love to fight over who gets to hold her....even Dylan walks around saying "hold her hold her..." They both seem to be adjusting to her quite well. These were pictures just a few days after she was born. She was quite the little poser giving me many looks to choose from:)

It's A Girl!!!

Tylee Jane Fenn was born on July 19th at 4:09pm and weighed in at 7 lbs 19 inches. It was such an easy delivery...almost too easy! My doctor broke my water at 1:15pm and out popped Tylee at 4pm! This pregnancy was so fun because we didn't know what we were having so right before I was going to deliver I told Drew that it was going to be a girl...for a couple of reasons...One being that I had very similar cravings as I had with Brinley and the second because we had a boy name all ready to go...but could not nailed down a girl name!!!! Right then and there I knew it was going to be a girl and I couldn't of been more thrilled!! She's such a good baby and a complete joy to have in the house. The kids are loving her and doing very well at having a new sibling in the family! Brinley thinks she's her real live baby doll...and Dylan LOVES to give her kisses:) All in all were slowly adapting to the new addition. It's definitely a change from 2 kids to 3. You forget how easy it was to go places with 2 kids and with 3 it's out of the question. My new philosophy is if we can't walk there we're not going!!

Dancing Queen!!

Last weekend was Brinley's first dance recital. She has been practicing all year and did such a great job. She danced to Jungle Book's Bare Necessities and it was the cutest thing. All week she kept telling me how she didn't want anyone watching her but me and Dylan...then slowly she accepted the idea of having a crowd of Grandparents and Aunts and her Uncle. She loved it up on stage and we were so proud of her!!! She also loved the fact that she got to wear make up:) She was so happy picking out what colors she wanted to wear and now I can see why we wait so long to let our little girls wear make up they look way too old!! She is such a little ham I knew she would love performing!!

River Fun!!

We love going to the river with the river crew:) We always have such a blast there and it's a perfect place for the kids. They love the long days of playing, playing and more playing. Dylan loved throwing rocks into the water and Brinley loved "floating" down the river and being saved by her daddy!!! It was a game her and her friend Bonnie played over and over and over. They also had a blast on the boat wake boarding, the canoe and jet ski's. I enjoyed long naps and lounging around catching the rays:) It was a fun getaway and I can't wait to do it again!!! Sea World Trip & Drew's Marathon

The first weekend of June we took a mini vaca to San Diego yes I know it was very far from home...a whole hour:) Those are my kind of trips!! We stayed the weekend at the Hilton at Mission Bay which was very nice and went to Sea World and Drew ran his Marathon. We got there Friday and went to Sea World all day and the kids loved it:) The kids loved Shamu and Dylan was facinated by the Walrus...we couldn't get him to leave. The shows we're too cute and Brinley loved the water ride. Dylan loved playing at the Seseme Street play area and had the best time there! Saturday we relaxed went to the convention center where Drew got all his information for the marathon and walked around all the health and fitness booths. Then we came home for some swimming and lunch by the pool. The kids had a blast at the pool and after we quickly left to catch some shows and other exhibits we didn't quite get to finish at Sea World. We ended the night with a pasta feast for Drew..he needed to fuel up for the race the next morning. It was an early morning dropping Drew off at the start line...but he did an amazing job. When we saw him at mile marker 20 he was still smiling and ready to go. Now seeing him at the finish line was a whole different story. I think the first words out of his mouth were "I'm never doing this again....I don't know why people do this!" Funny thing is he's signed up for the St. George Marathon! We are all very proud of him he did a great job and finished at 4 hours and 30 minutes. That is a whole lot of running!!!! Brinley was happy because at the end she got the medal:) Now that's how you do a race:)

Palm Springs Getaway!

Every year we go with a BUNCH of couples from our ward to Palm Springs and stay at La Quinta Resort. No kids are allowed and it's sort of a boy/girls trip because all the men do is golf all the PGA courses and the women shop, lay by the pool, eat yummy food, get mani's and pedi's and most importantly RELAX!! Then at night we meet up with our hubby's for dinner and the rest of the evening! It's a fun trip hard to come back from:)I look forward to it every year!!
