Aloha...what an awesome trip Drew and I had to Kauai! It was such a blast. The island is gorgeous I highly recommend it. We stayed at the Hilton and it was super nice. Tons of pools and the beach was beautiful. We had the best time just RELAXING with our Pina Coladas(virgin of course)in one hand and book in the other. The weather was great! One day it rained but only for a few minutes..I love Hawaii's weather. It can go from rain to hot sun in minutes!!! We did a lot of beach hopping, site seeing around the island and of course eating! We had the best food there including our new love Puka Dogs (Hawaiian Hot Dogs) soooo good and I'm not even a hot dog person. Of course you can't go to Hawaii without eating Hawaiian shaved ice...yummy. We also Kayaked our first time. We went on the river to the Fern Grotto and also hiked a mile up to the Secret Falls. The best thing about the hike was seeing all the roosters! Yep your reading right in Kauai roosters are EVERYWHERE..they roam free it's quite funny. The trip on the river was 2 miles up the river and 2 miles back...let's just say we got the arm workout of our lives....or at least Drew did! It was fun though...they also had a great rope swing...Drew loved that. We ate at some great restaurants one was literally right on the beach. Drew was able to have a great red snapper and watch surfers at the same time he was in heaven. The food there was so good I wanted to lick my plate.(Thanks Ryan and Beth for the recommendation) We ended the trip with an all you can eat king crab buffet. Let me just say we we're there for LONG time and Drew had PLATES full of crab. It was hard to say good bye to paradise and all of our alone time! Although we did miss Brinley we had a great time with just the two of us! Thanks to my mom, brother and Drew's parents who helped watch little Brinny while we were gone. She had a great time...I think she was way too spoiled. Now we're back to reality and the real world. If only everyday was like living in paradise!!!
