Drew's Half Marathon & Crazy Melissa

Drew ran the Irvine Half Marathon and did a great job! With a time of 2:10!Now considering this is the longest he's ever ran in his life I am quite proud of him. He hadn't been training too much, but he finished and got the job done. He said at mile 8 he was asking himself what he was thinking and then by mile 12 he said he was dead...but he pushed through and finished that last mile. Now I am sure a lot of you are wondering now why isn't Melissa running the half marathon with him...she's the runner in the family. Well believe me everyone I was planning on being there to beat my husband, but a little something got in the way....that something being called PREGNANCY! Yes I am a crazy woman who once again is pregnant with baby #3 which will be 19 months apart from Dylan. A little earlier then planned...but they come when they come and this baby is ready to join our family and we're excited to have it come. I'm 13 weeks along and doing great! The baby is due July 24th and sorry everyone but this one's going to be a surprise. I am such a planner, so this will be very hard for me but when you have one of each I think it will be fun. There's not too many surprises in life! So I will see you next year half marathon and Drew better start training early because it's on:)

MR. D Turns 1!!!

I seriously can't believe how time flys by...Dylan turned 1 on New Years Eve and it was such a blast! Not only does he have his own birthday party but everyone seems to be celebrating his birthday all over the world:) Brinley totally thought that the party hats, and noise makers and all the fun sparklers were all for Dylan's Birthday. So when we celebrated it again with a little family party at the park she was very confused saying "we just celebrated his birthday...mommy why does he get 2 parties and I only get 1?" She's too smart for us nothing gets past her. Dylan had a great time at both his parties and is now starting to walk all over the place. It's still a bit of an old man's walk but he's getting it and is so proud of himself:) He loved his cake at first he was a bit hesitant, but then after the kids cheering him on he got right into it. This first year with Dylan has been amazing. He is seriously my dream baby and has melted by heart. I can't go without kissing him a million times a day and loving his sweet cheeks. He truly lights up my day when I see him smile and the saying is for sure true...there's something about boys and their mommas. You can't quite put your finger on it, but I know my world will never be the same with this little guy in it!! We love you Dylan and Happy 1st Birthday:)

Dylan's First Christmas!!

We had a great low-key Christmas here in good old Cali...We did our traditional trek to Olvera Street for some Mexican pork tacos and Taquitos and beans on Christmas Eve with Drew's family and then we all came back to the house for dessert and Drew's and Haylee's Birthday Celebration. Then this year we decided to sleepover at Drew's parents and wake up there Christmas morning. Brinley was so excited for Santa to come and kept asking me to make sure Santa knew she was at Grandma and Grandpa's house and not her own. She also was very concerned that there wasn't a fire place at their house for Santa to come down. But to her surprise Santa did not forget her and showered her with many presents. One of her favorites being a Bigger bike her other one was too small. Now this being Dylan's first Christmas as usual had no idea what was going on and could care less about opening presents. He liked the wrapping paper the best and Brinley's princess tent along with his horse! It was a fun Christmas with a yummy breakfast and a delicious dinner with all of Drew's family. The kids had a great time playing with all their toys and by the end of the night we were all ready for an early bedtime! Merry Christmas!!
